Dampers for natural outlet of heat and combustion products type PROLIGHT are an automated fire protection equipment for venting smoke. The basic function of these dampers is exhaust of heat, combustion products and thermal energy out of the building (production halls, warehouses, public buildings) and protection of life and property by:
- Making evacuation of persons simple
- Simplifying the location of fire and making firefighting easier
- Minimizing the risk of damage to the building by lowering temperature
- Limiting the damage caused by heat and combustion products
They can also serve as ventilation flaps, double function flaps, climbing exits or skylights. In addition to other advantages, by using the dampers an investor will also benefit from the following:
- Increase marginal areas among fire sections
- Expansion of escape routes

Requirements for installation
Depending on individual customer requirements HASIL, Ltd. offers dampers for exhaust of heat and smoke with simple rectangularbases, various heights and a wide range of diameters. After an agreement with the manufacturer basescan be made with dimensions not listed in this factsheet. All steel parts of dampers are galvanized by heat or electroplated. Pedestals commonly supplied have thermal insulation and thickness of 20 mm. Individual choices of thickness and type of insulation are offered. Types of materials used as filler in the opening wing:
- tube polycarbonate with a thickness of 10 to 25 mm and varying degrees of transparency and different heat transfer coefficients
- acrylic, single, double or triple domes
- solid, polycarbonate boards
- sandwich boards (eg. aluminum - mineral wool - aluminium), so-called "blind" filler panel
MCR PROLIGHT dampers are offered with the following operating systems:
- electrical
- pneumatic
- pneumatic-electrical
- mechanical
All the above indicated systems for exhaust of heat and combustion products can act as ventilation or the following:
- exhaust of heat and combustion products
- exhaust of heat and combustion products and simultaneously as daily ventilation
- daily ventilation
In Slovakia, dampers exhaust ventilators of heat and combustion products mcr PROLIGHT type C, E, NG DVP are marketed under the ES Certificate of Conformity for product No. 1396 - CPD – 0001 which ensures that the products meet the requirements established by law.
